Appalachian Dog

...is a feature film Produced and Edited by Chad Hylton.

The setting is 1946, Appalachia. A seamstress welcomes home her tailor husband, only to find they are not the team they were. Trying to stitch back together their old life, time and time again it threatens to fall apart – with each of them pulling at the thread.  Written and Directed by Colin Henning, Chad Hylton's partner, and produced by their production company, C.H. Squared. The film was recently acquired by Bondit company, Buffalo 8  for distribution.

"Penelope!"

...is a horror short Edited and Co-Written by Chad Hylton. At the twilight of the Civil War -and after years of keeping her house ready for her husband’s return- Penelope is finally able to greet her beloved –just not in the way she planned. As a night of terror unfolds, our Southern Belle is forced to come face-to-face with the cost of the promise she kept.

Also serving as Director of Photography, Chad and his partner, Colin Henning created this Southern Gothic film.

An Un-Ideal Husband

...is a short film based on the Oscar Wilde play of similar name.  Co-Written, Directed and Edited by Chad Hylton, this Official Selection of the Big Apple Film Festival is a standalone piece as well as a sample of his feature adaptation, An Honourable Bachelor. Both pieces are a queer take on Wilde's Husband, incorporating inspiration from Wilde's real life as a gay playwright in Victorian England.

...is a short Written and Directed by Chad Hylton. In this love story, Lance relives the good and the bad in his past relationship to decide whether or not to see his ex-boyfriend, Adam, that night.
